The Return of the Book Posts!

I stumbled across PopSugar's 2015 Reading Challenge back in January, while flipping through posts on my social media feed in the comfortable company of two of my sisters-in-heart. It's an interesting list and I thought that it would be a fun challenge to undertake for the year, pushing me to occasionally use different parameters for my literary choices than normal.
Now, with just a month and a half to go, my list looks something like this:
- A book with more than 500 pages
The Providence of Fire - Brian Staveley - A classic romance
What counts as a "classic" romance? This one is stumping me a little bit, since most of the romances I've read also have more than a dash of mystery, science fiction, fantasy, steampunk, or at the very least a modern/historical set of parallel time-lines. Eh, I'll find something! - A book that became a movie
The Maze Runner - James Dashner - A book published this year
The Book of Speculation - Erika Swyler - A book with a number in the title
The Eight - Katherine Neville - A book written by someone under 30
Vicious - V.E. Schwab - A book with non-human characters
House of the Rising Sun - Kristen Painter - A funny book
Let's Pretend This Never Happened - Jenny Lawson - A book by a female author
The Little Paris Bookshop - Nina George - A mystery or thriller
Delia's Shadow - Jamie Lee Moyer - A book with a one-word title
Unbound - Jim C. Hines - A book of short stories
Trigger Warning - Neil Gaiman - A book set in a different country
A Cup of Friendship - Deborah Rodriguez - A nonfiction book
A Slip of the Keyboard - Terry Pratchett - A popular author's first book
- A book from an author you love that you haven't read yet
A Desperate Fortune - Susanna Kearsley - A book a friend recommended
Stitching Snow - R.C. Lewis - A Pulitzer Prize-winning book
- A book based on a true story
- A book at the bottom of your to-read list
- A book your mom loves
- A book that scares you
Daring Greatly - Brene Brown - A book more than 100 years old
The Book of Dragons - E. Nesbit - A book based entirely on its cover
City of a Thousand Dolls - Miriam Forster - A book you were supposed to read in school, but didn't
I suppose this is going to have to be based off an academic system that isn't the one I graduated from - mainly because I can't remember anything from my English or Literature classes that I actively avoided finishing. - A memoir
Post-Traumatic Church Syndrome: A Memoir of Humor and Healing - Reba Riley - A book you can finish in a day
ahahah... ahahahahahahahahah. Ehm. Right. Okay, let's go with...The Darkest Part of the Forest - Holly Black - A book with antonyms in the title
The Shadow Lamp - Stephen Lawhead - A book set somewhere you've always wanted to visit
Paris in Love - Eloisa James - A book that came out the year you were born
The Colour of Magic - Terry Pratchett - A book with bad reviews
Street Magic - Caitlin Kittredge - A trilogy
- A book from your childhood
The one entry on this list that will definitely - of necessity - be a re-read. - A book with a love triangle
The Madman's Daughter - Megan Shepherd - A book set in the future
Orleans - Sherri L. Smith - A book set in high school
The Raven Boys - Maggie Stiefwater - A book with a color in the title
White Cat - Holly Black - A book that made you cry
Kinslayer - Jay Kristoff - A book with magic
Witches of Echo Park - Amber Benson - A graphic novel
Nimona - Noelle Stevenson - A book by an author you've never read before
Karen Memory - Elizabeth Bear - A book you own but have never read
Hmm! Got a couple possibilities here, this entry will probably sneak in under the wire. - A book that takes place in your hometown
Ahh the choices... - A book that was originally written in a different language
Labyrinth of Dreaming Books - Walter Moers - A book set during Christmas
- A book written by an author with your same initials
Ugh - this one is proving pretty difficult to find. Regardless of which set of initials I use, I've not found a book that looks like I'd find both interesting enough to read AND be able to get from the library. - A play
- A banned book
It seems I've read more banned books than I realized. Forth to find new ones! - A book based on or turned into a TV show
Bitten - Kelley Armstrong - A book you started but never finished
I Thought It Was Just Me - Brene Brown
I love this! ♡
