The post that was - then wasn't - and now is again
Blogger needs to have an "auto-save to draft" functionality. I don't think it's too much to ask, and I think that the rest of the absent-minded bloggers out there who get into their writing and aren't saving it every 2 sentences, ought to agree with me.
I started a blog post earlier today. I had written a goodly amount, but was still composing. As I toggled to another window, I experienced one of those slips of the fingers that are so common for computer users, and my web developer bar popped open. Somehow related to this same key-slip, my blogger editor disappeared, leaving me with a blank page.
The "back" and "refresh" actions were to no avail. The post that I had almost completed composing was gone without a trace. No hint of it remained, not even in draft. Really? *sigh*
And now that I've had my nice little rant, I will click "Save" to make sure I don't lose what I have written thus far.
The Lost Post. v2
It's been some time since I've posted anything on my blog. Though I've not stopped reading (I'm not sure that it's entirely possible), I've had a blog-writing drought. And so I fall back on that "lazy" form of blogging, the list post.
While browsing the websites of Powell's and Barnes&Nobles, as I am wont to do, I noted that both sites had lists reviewing the past year in literature. I think they were something along the lines of "bestsellers from 2011" and so on.
So here is my lazy list blog post - my top reads of 2011.
*pausing to hit the save button again*

Ah, a wonderful selection of books that I now must go find....
ReplyDelete:) Most of the books on this list you can get at Gere, or at least request holds on at Gere.
DeleteThere are a couple exceptions. I believe that they're missing one or two of the October Daye series (in the middle of the series, of course). And I started reading Scalzi's book at B&N and then bought it, so I don't know if the library has it.
