This Site shall remain nameless to protect the hapless web dabblers.
Every so often - okay, thus far twice in my CSS/HTML(XHTML) career - I am asked to work on a site whose css, or html, or setup in general causes me to (gently) hit my head against my desk and then laugh grimly through the duration of my work on it. Working on these sites is like . . . worrying at a scab. You know you should just medicate it, cover it with a bandaid, and leave it alone. Yet you find yourself worrying at it without even thinking about it. I would throw my hands up in frustration and tell myself "work on something else for a moment", then find myself back at it - tweaking code and refreshing my browser madly, hoping against hope that I'd actually accomplish . . . something positive.
*sighs*
In these moments you have two choices. You can laugh and carry on, or you can despair . . . and carry on. I usually choose to laugh. It keeps the levels of insanity manageable, although it does cause my coworkers to look at me a little oddly.
In other news . . . Look! Pretty!
